MOD Fires Itself, Creates Mystery Quango To Fix Homes

On a historic 'whoops' day for UK government efficiency, Defence Secretary John Healey declared the Ministry of Defence so hopeless at managing military housing that they're inventing an entire new quasi-governmental organisation, the Defence Housing Service, to take over. Amidst doomdog fiscal warnings about pensions and spiralling spending, ministers now juggle creating more bureaucracy while insistently hinting 'nothing’s affordable' if Britain goes bust. Patience required, Westminster fans!
