This demon-fighting K-pop animated romp has been dominating Netflix's global movie charts for five weeks straight, hitting a new peak with 25.8 million views in its fifth week, an unprecedented Netflix original movie feat. Netflix guru Brandon Katz praised it as 'the perfect modernization of Disney's long-running emphasis on family-friendly musicals,' projecting a K-pop fueled franchise might finally dethrone Disneyâs family animation crown. Even Billboard charts couldnât resist 'Golden,' a hit song spawned by the film, briefly hitting #1 before K-pop swapped #1 for #2 like idol group lineup changes.
