Meanwhile, overall CPI held steady at 2.7%, because why make anything simple? As the Federal Reserve debates 'rate cuts,' President Trump decided to shake things up by firing the head of the Bureau of Labor Statistics after a 'less-than-stellar jobs report,' and is now nominating a critic of the agency to lead it. Data transparency? More like data twilight zone.
