Trump Blocked From Deploying National Guard: Oregon Claps Back
On a dramatic 2025 Sunday night, a federal judge pulled the emergency brake (aka a temporary restraining order) stopping Trumpâs attempt to flood Oregon with National Guard troops, including the entire California contingent. This all kicked off after California cozied up with Oregon in a lawsuit over 200 Golden State Guardsmen heading to Portland, probably confused about why theyâre there. Meanwhile, Texas Gov. Greg Abbott upped the ante by authorizing 400 Texas Guardsmen to âprotect federal officials,â which apparently made Oregon and Illinois go, 'Wait, what?'âbecause when states deploy troops without an RSVP, chaos, confusion, and aggressive social media posts ensue.
