Judge Says Trump Can’t Ghost 30 Cities Over Immigration Drama
Photo by Mitchell Orr on Unsplash
In a plot twist worthy of a daytime soap, a judge ruled that the Trump administration cannot punish Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, and 30 other cities by cutting their funding just because these places refuse to play tag with federal immigration agents. The court threw a wrench in the plan to make local governments enforce immigration policies, with officials effectively telling the feds, 'Nope, you don’t get to hold our wallets hostage.' Looks like these cities just ghosted Uncle Sam harder than your last Tinder date.
