JPMorgan Pays $115M to Defraud Defrauder—Comedy of Errors!

Charlie Javice, sentenced to 7 years for hoodwinking JPMorgan Chase into a $175 million Frank startup buyout, is still cashing $115 million checks from the bank for her gluttonous legal team. JPMorgan wants out, citing 'egregious' charges including five law firms (because apparently Javice’s one fraud trial needed the Avengers) and a single firm's $35.6 million bill. JPMorgan spokesperson Pablo Rodriguez called these legal fees 'patently excessive,' while paying nearly $60 million upfront. Meanwhile, Javice’s star lawyer Alex Spiro, known for Elon Musk and Kim Kardashian, clocks $3,000 per hour—so fork this over ASAP, JPMorgan.
