Nvidia’s $1B Trump-Fest: America’s AI Apollo or Just Bling?

On October 28, 2025, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang kicked off the company’s GTC event in Washington D.C. with a sizzle reel so pro-America it could've doubled as a Fourth of July parade. The guy called the AI chip race 'America's Apollo moment' while serenading Donald Trump and Energy Secretary Christopher Wright like they were rock stars of electrons. Nvidia’s dropping a cool $1 billion into Nokia to 'bring 5G and 6G telecom tech back to America,' which sounds less like science and more like reclaiming a lost toy. Huang also pledged seven AI supercomputers with the Department of Energy to juice up data centers powered, thanks to Trump’s magic energy policies. Meanwhile, Nvidia’s China sales sank from 95% market share to zero due to export restrictions, which Huang tactfully described as anyone's idea of a brilliant strategy being 'unimaginable.' The grand finale? Huang channeling Trump with a heartfelt 'Thank you all for your service and making America great again.' Reality couldn’t be more nationalistic or awkward.
