In a plot twist juicier than a soap opera, David Ellison, new Paramount owner and son of Larry Ellison the Trump-sympathizing billionaire, acquired Bari Weiss's baby, The Free Press, for a suspiciously round $150 million just as the company was axing Stephen Colbert's anti-Trump Late Show in July 2025. Ellison promises to ditch DEI like last season's Netflix hit and installed Bernard Weinstein, a conservative ombudsman, to guard against woke suspicion. Meanwhile, Paramount cynically shelled out $1.5 billion to keep South Park, the fearless anti-Trump cartoon, afloat. The message to regulators?
