Social media stars have been glorifying magnesium lotions as the miracle bedtime elixir that yoinks you from counting sheep to nirvana faster than you can say 'goodnight.' Yet, science—a.k.a. the party-pooper—says there's honestly little to no evidence that rubbing magnesium on your epidermis does squat for sleep. It’s like slathering on dreams but waking in reality’s dull embrace. Despite the flaky support, influencers keep flogging these lotions in a grand magnesium beauty pageant that’s more hopeful placebo than proven remedy.
