Gaza's Blockade Buffet: Starvation’s All-You-Can't-Eat Deal

Gaza’s caught in a nightmare buffet: only this one serves famine with a side of artillery fire. Since Israel’s 2024 March shutdown of aid—cutting off all food shipments—the residents have been ‘one step removed from starvation,’ with some days passing without a bite. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, ironically the only allowed food deliverer, offers 'vanishingly small' rations while flour prices skyrocket from 50 to 1,700 shekels. Jeremy Konyndyk put it bluntly: ‘There is nothing coming on the horizon... unless the Israeli government allows the mainstream professional humanitarian community to actually do their fucking jobs.’ Spoiler: They don’t.
