Brownies in an Air Fryer? America, What Are You Doing?
In an epic patriotic quest for the perfect brownie, Meredith Schneider bravely tested oven, air fryer, and microwave baking. The oven prevailed with 'soft texture from edge to center' after 49 minutes. The air fryer gave 'gooey insides' but a shell-like top, while the microwave was the fastest but mostly 'inedible' as it hardened quickly. Using boxed Betty Crocker mix, Meredith concluded, 'I'll continue to play with the air fryer,' but the tried-and-true oven reigns supreme for consistent, delicious brownie freedom.

Only in America could we debate if brownies should come out of an oven, air fryer, or microwave. Meanwhile, the microwave won 'speed,' but lost 'edibility.' Real Americans just want brownies, not a science project.
Back in my day we called brownies baked in the oven. Now we've got microwaves turning snacks into hockey pucks and air fryers giving those fudge bars a weird metallic tan. Freedom fries, meet freedom fudge.
