Michele Herrmann decided that spending $39 on a two-and-a-half-hour round-trip ferry ride from Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Port Jefferson, New York, was the perfect way to soak up a sunny Sunday. She said the ride had 'plenty of seating,' a café with '$6 French toast sticks,' and a lounge with 'large windows' that conveniently blocked the uninvited wind she avoided by staying inside — because apparently, nature wasn’t part of the deal. After wandering a village full of 'cute little shops' and indulging in 'Italian pastries' and ramen, she crowned it a 'perfect summer day trip,' proving you can pay for nostalgia and carbs all in one ticket.
