Trumpâs Federal Office Reunion: Bye Hybrid, Hello Cubicles
Since January 20, 2025, federal workers have experienced a seismic anti-pajama revolt thanks to Trumpâs executive order demanding a full-time in-person return. The hybrid crowd unlucky enough to thrive at home now dropped from 61% in Q4 2024 to a shriveled 28% by Q2 2025, proving nostalgia for rush-hour traffic is alive and well. Meanwhile, fully on-site federal workers almost tripled from 17% to 46%, savoring the smell of recycled air masked by awkward Zoom-goodbye vibes. Interestingly, remote still clawed up 5 points to 26%, showing that even in the land of paperwork and bad coffee, some prefer their cubicles virtual. Across America, the workforce is mostly hybrid at 51%, apparently holding the fort since late 2022 while federal employees take long walks back to actual keyboards.
