Hurricane Erin decided to party hard, slapping Puerto Rico with 7.32 inches of rain while casually reminding North Carolina's Dare County it’s eviction time with a mandatory evacuation for Hatteras Island. Officials warned of 'life-threatening impacts' and coastal flooding starting Tuesday on N.C. Highway 12, which might soon be a slip n' slide. The National Hurricane Center admitted Erin downgraded from Category 5 to 3 but promised it's still 'a large and dangerous major hurricane' ready to bounce back stronger—because why settle for calm when you can keep the drama?
