200+ Private Jets Parked Like Billionaire Birds for Ryder Cup

Long Island’s Farmingdale Republic Airport doubled as a billionaire parking lot this weekend, welcoming over 200 private jets fueled by the Ryder Cup golf madness. Tail numbers screamed NetJets and Flexjet, with some rich folk flying in from Palm Beach and even the scandalous proximity of East Hampton—a mere 70 miles over water, or enough distance to justify private winged chariots over driving. The airport was described as 'hectic' by an operations coordinator, probably understating a billionaire birdhouse on stress hormone steroids. Wingx says up to 3,000 private flights might hit New York during the three-day event, overshadowing last year’s Rome surge where traffic popped to 2.5x normal. Tickets started at $749.51 last fall, because watching millionaires chase a tiny white ball also requires curated fancy cocktails and a sprinkle of unruly rich fan drama. Oh, and President Donald Trump, golf legend and event regular, swung by to add some presidential flair to this floating castle convention.
