Protesters Close Enough to White House to See Cops Chill

On Saturday, a brave band of protesters marched right up to the White House while D.C. Metropolitan and National Park Service police took the ultimate passive-audience role: 'watching from a distance.' It’s like a wild game of political "Tag, you’re it!" except nobody’s running and everyone’s just awkwardly staring. Reportedly, the cops seemed as entertained as someone watching a squirrel steal their lunch — engaged, but keeping a safe buffer zone because personal space is America’s last true secret.
