Congressional Old Guard Finally Hits 'Next Episode' Button

Rep. Danny Davis (D-Ill.), rocking that 83-year-old vintage political style since 1996, is finally calling it quits amid a junior Dem mutiny. His chief of staff teased, 'We have not made known what the announcement will be,' which, spoiler alert, is retirement plus an endorsement for LaShawn Ford. As Davis bows out, he joins a political geriatric party crashing thanks to challengers like 26-year-old Kat Abughazaleh shaking up the scene, proving even Congress can’t avoid a midlife crisis. Meanwhile, half of the septuagenarian Dems still cling to power like it's a Spotify playlist they refuse to skip.
