Honor’s Magic 8 Pro: AI Button, 200MP Nightmare Incoming

Honor is back at it with the Magic 8 Pro, launching in China on October 15th and later crashing the European party for over €1,000 ($1,200). This flagship phone boasts the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, fresh from its September 2025 grand debut by Qualcomm. The star of the show? A mysterious dedicated AI button—because apparently phones needed more buttons to accidentally press mid-call. The flat-backed phone flaunts a rear camera setup featuring a 200MP, 85mm telephoto lens, a step up from last year's 72mm 'meh' version, plus a depth-sensing ToF sensor that probably tells you how deep your credit card debt is. Bonus fun: Honor’s new Magic Color AI will let you recolor your photos like a baby Salvador DalĆ, just in case normal filters weren’t chaotic enough. Rumors tease Ultra and Mini siblings also lurking in 2026, because who doesn’t want their phone family to feel like a confusing, ever-expanding soap opera?
