The Department of Defense just handed over a $1.2 billion contract to build America’s biggest migrant detention camp at Fort Bliss—starring Disaster Management Group, whose owner, Nathan Albers, once co-owned a company caught hiring illegal workers. Oh, I’m sorry, did I miss the part where 'the irony is thick,' as Scott Shuchart called it? It's a labyrinth of hypocrisy, legal loopholes, and tent-supported storytelling.
