Google DeepMind Seeks AI Economist To Predict Post-Robot Takeover

In a move Elizabeth Warren only half-dreads, Google DeepMind has put out a Bat-Signal for a 'Senior AI Economist' to make sense of the Post-AGI apocalypse they're apparently throwing next year. CEO Demis Hassabis, who speaks fluent nerd at events like SXSW London and Davos, envisions a world of 'radical abundance' tied to AI so smart it might reroute capitalism into a philosophical existential crisis by 2025. Responsibilities include modeling economic Armageddon scenarios and debating how the heck 'wealth' and 'scarcity' survive once robots replace CEOs and cashiers alike. Meanwhile, the company hasn't answered Business Insider's calls—presumably busy building the Rockefeller Center of AI oversight. Even Anthropic is hiring, because who needs normal jobs anymore? The future's bright unless the smart robots don't mind us asking who's in charge of that 'wise international council.'
