Only in America could a tech billionaire turn his billions towards women’s health with a bang: the Gates Foundation pledged $2.5 billion through 2030. As they put it, this is 'its largest funding commitment ever to the issue,' which sounds like a rescue mission for common sense. Meanwhile, back in my day we called this ‘helping people,’ but now big donors make it sound like an Xbox achievement unlocked.
