AI Promises $10K/Month Basic Income, Because Robots Need Alibis

Former OpenAI brainiac Miles Brundage just dropped the mic on universal basic income, arguing we should be dreaming bigger than $1,000 a month—how about $10,000? He says AI’s economic magic will soon make it policy-feasible. Brundage warns: 'removing the obligation to work' is actually the point of building AI and AGI, but we’re still stuck in WALL-E-level denial. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s own Sam Altman is already testing the waters with a $1,000/month study. Basically, welcome to the future where robots may snatch your job, but send you a fat check while they’re at it.
