Federal Debt: America’s New Moon Landing Joke

Maurice Obstfeld warned that America’s love affair with "high tariffs and tax laws" is turning into a toxic relationship for the dollar. He cautioned, "policies... that expand the federal debt and unpredictability, may undermine confidence in the dollar." In other words, it’s less Invested in Freedom, more Gambling on Ruin. So while our government expands debt like it’s Black Friday, reliability takes a backseat. Confidence in the dollar? Might want to check if it’s actually still there, or just another federal red flag.
