Trump's $30B Tariff Party Cancelled by Boring Courts

In what might be the most expensive legal party foul of 2025, a federal appellate court on Friday knocked out President Trump’s massive global tariff bonanza that was generating a whopping $30 billion each month—and expected to grow with fresh August 1 rates. Remember back in late May? The Court of International Trade said Trump’s International Emergency Economic Powers Act dance moves weren’t authorized. By late July, the appellate court held a hearing and said, 'Nope.' On August 8, Trump warned on Truth Social that losing this cash cow would bring '1929 all over again, a GREAT DEPRESSION!' Apparently, economy and hyperbole go hand-in-hand—like tariffs and court drama.
