Europe is collectively ghosting the U.S. postal system like a bad Tinder date because of Trump's de minimis tariff exemption hitting the dust this Tuesday. Per PostEurop, at least 16 countries are hitting pause on shipments, including the UKās Royal Mail going dark until Thursday and Germany's Deutsche Post playing defense since August 22. 'Small-dollar commerceāand gift-givingācould grind to a halt,' Axios warns, as an estimated 1.3 billion packages last year relied on the now extinct tariff loophole once welcoming $800 or less gifts a year from all over, including 60% from China.
