Rep. Wesley Bell swept past former Rep. Cori Bush in Missouri’s political Hunger Games Tuesday, crushing left-wing dreams with a nearly 45-point lead as only a quarter of precincts reported. Thanks to an AIPAC-backed super PAC throwing $3 million (yes, million) into a cash ocean labeled 'United Democracy Project,' and with Democratic leadership and the Congressional Black Caucus high-fiving Bell, Bush's fightback was basically the Jeb Bush of left-wing insurgencies. Bernie Sanders, DSA, and Justice Democrats chipped in a modest $200k, which funnily enough resembled spare change in a congressional budget. Bell also out-fundraised her—$3.6 million to $1.3 million—as Kamala Harris’ 57-point November victory makes Bell’s general election win almost as certain as TikTok bans.
