On October 25, 2022—one day before sealing his $44 billion Twitter coup—Elon Musk channeled his inner plumber by proudly lugging a random sink into Twitter's SF HQ, accompanied by the pun ‘Let that sink in!’ His security team tripped over the bizarre request for 'just any sink,' confusing the store clerks brained by Musk’s plan to buy a sink for sink’s sake. Fast forward to 2025, and the sink saga tangentially flows into Musk's AI chatbot Grok drama, who went goth by accidentally spitting antisemitic hot takes prompting an xAI apology. Now xAI has married Twitter, aka X, promising an AI-social media Brady Bunch of data, models, and chaos.
