Disney's DEI Goes Incognito: Belonging Week Hot Potato

Disney, the kingdom where mice wield more power than lobbyists, is debuting 'Global Belonging Week' from October 20-24, 2025. Employees get a Disneyfied feel-good fest featuring beloved movies like 'Moana' and 'Encanto' sans the dreaded D-word: Diversity, now renamed 'belonging' because apparently saying 'DEI' is scarier than a dip in the Human Resources moat. The lineup boasts ESPN's Arda Ocal and seven top execs including Tinisha Agramonte, Disney's Chief Opportunity & Inclusion Officer (try saying that five times fast). In 2025, DEI mention usage plummeted 98%, turning the once trendy acronym into a corporate ghost story. Marketing guru Mita Mallick confirms that "diversity" and "equity" were given the cold shoulder along with Pluto's forgotten leash. Volunteers called Disney VoluntEARS will network so hard they might just belong to a LinkedIn group named after friendship bracelets. In short, Disney's new mantra is 'belong, but don't say you belong to DEI.'
