Trump's bold move to declare a 'crime emergency' in D.C. involves 800 National Guardsmen and 850 federal agents patrolling 24/7, despite local protests and a "crime rate [that] has fallen." An interfaith group decries this as 'inaccurate and dehumanizing,' warning the crackdown risks 'indiscriminate arrests and ... excessive force.'
