On April 10th, Texas’s Daniel Moreno-Gama launched a bold and arguably misguided attempt to blow up both OpenAI’s HQ and their CEO Sam Altman's home with a Molotov cocktail — juggling Texas heat and possibly poor targeting skills. Prosecutors say he tried smashing the glass doors with a chair, dramatically announcing, 'I came to burn it down and kill anyone inside,' just mixing furniture and felony charges like 'possession of an unregistered firearm.' Federal charges now include attempted damage via explosives, making preservation of windows and corporate security guards his unwitting heroes.
