Brother Wang’s Cuban Hide-and-Seek: Fentanyl Cartel Edition

In a plot twist so wild it could only be true, Zhi Dong Zhang, AKA 'Brother Wang', Chinese fentanyl kingpin with Mexican cartel ties broke out of Mexican custody in July and now finds himself in Cuba, chilling under island arrest. Wanted by the US and tangled with Sinaloa and Jalisco New Generation cartels, ‘Brother Wang’ seems to think El Caribe is the ultimate witness protection. Mexican security sources spilled the tea to AFP on a midweek, island-flavored international drug drama. Meanwhile, Cuba plays 'wait and see' on extradition because bureaucracy loves slow days as much as the cartels love fentanyl.
