Camp Mystic Reloaded: Because Tragedy Deserves A Sequel

Camp Mystic, infamous for the July flood that tragically swept away 27 girls and counselors, is gearing up for a comeback next summer near the exact disaster zone. Forget Netflix reviving shows no one asked forâthis is IRL horror with a theme park twist. The site, now gold standard for 'What Could Possibly Go Wrong?' is apparently perfect for some more fun in the great outdoors. Presumably, campers will be practicing their synchronized swimming survival skills and quick Ziploc bag packing. Local authorities have presumably perfected the phrase 'lightning never strikes twice,' which, spoiler alert, July floods have a habit of ignoring.
