Gavin’s Redistricting Rumble: Democrats Throw Political Molotovs
Photo by Levi Meir Clancy on Unsplash
California Gov. Gavin Newsom, apparently not content with just fixin' potholes, threatened a redistricting 'trigger' measure if Texas GOP redraws their maps, declaring 'California will not sit by idly and watch this Democracy waste away.' Meanwhile, Texas Democrats fled the state like it’s a political game of hide-and-seek to block GOP plans, with Rep. Ann Johnson calling out the GOP's flood-relief excuse as mere 'distraction.' In this Congressional bloodsport, Nancy Pelosi weighed in, insisting 'This is not a wrong. This is self-defense for our democracy.' Texas vs. California is less crossover episode, more cage match.
