In a bold pivot from romantic despair, Bumble is betting big on friendship with Bumble For Friends (BFF), claiming it as a 'long-term growth' chance. CEO Whitney Wolfe Herd insists, 'The organic demand for Bumble For Friends, particularly from Gen Z women and younger millennial women, is extremely exciting.' Not to ignore the financial déjà vu, Bumble reports a 7.6% revenue drop and an 8.7% user decline—classic tech company self-flagellation included. Meanwhile, rival Hinge is 'crushing it,' thus proving the old adage: making friends is hard, but love? Apparently easier with some swipes.
