Bolsonaro’s 27-Year Jail Party: Plotting Coups Like It’s 1999

Brazil’s presidential ex-boss Jair Bolsonaro just earned a 27-year bedtime sentence for masterminding a 2022 coup attempt, because why peacefully accept elections when you can storm palaces? Four out of five Supreme Court judges served this legal roast, leaving one poor holdout to reminisce about acquittals. Meanwhile, Trump — ever the supportive bromance — demanded Brazil stop the charges, threatening a 50% tariff like it’s WWE SmackDown in trade form. Bolsonaro, 70 and denying the whole spicy affair, is probably calculating his appeal letter as he dodges a life sentence sequel. Brazil’s justice system clearly doesn’t do subtle.
