In a move that sounds like casting superheroes for a neighborhood beatdown, the government of Haiti is "deploying" forces to reclaim land from heavily armed gangs. According to the article, the operation aims to "help the government of Haiti recover vast swaths of territory seized in the past year." Because nothing says ‘safe community’ like a government storming back territories in what feels like a real-life game of Risk, but with way higher stakes and less diplomacy.
