Amazonās DynamoDB got a case of 'significant error rates,' thanks to DNS, aka the internet's phonebook, deciding to take a nap on the US East Coast data centers. CEO Aravind Srinivas openly blamed AWS at 3:22 a.m. ET. By 6:35 a.m., AWS promised āsignificant signs of recoveryāāwhatever that means in internet time. Meanwhile, airlines United and Delta, plus AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile, joined the outage party.
