Apple’s cooking up a new Siri upgrade so intense, your phone might file a restraining order. The digital assistant will "take actions on your behalf across various apps" because apparently, Siri wants to pull the strings like the puppet master of your app ecosystem. Through a new spin on their App Intents framework, developers get to let users access app parts via search and Shortcuts. Basically, Apple’s handing Siri the keys to your app kingdom — brace yourself, because soon saying 'Hey Siri' might feel like unleashing an overenthusiastic intern juggling too many responsibilities.
