Apple's 2025 smartphone jamboree dropped the iPhone 17 lineup featuring an iPhone Air so thin at 5.6mm it’s basically a credit card with ambition, starting at a wallet-busting $999 for 256GB. Want to max out your panic and storage to 1TB? That's $1,399, because why not mortgage a kidney? The 17 standard model ā€˜shockingly’ includes a 6.3-inch 120Hz ProMotion display stolen straight from the expensive Pro—starting at $799 if you're feeling thrifty. The Pro and Pro Max sport a futuristic 'plateau' camera bump, a fancy aluminum build, triple 48MP cameras, and Apple’s biggest-ever battery, validating why $1,199 and $1,999 for the 2TB Pro Max shouldn’t sound crazy anymore. And yes, the Air’s $99 MagSafe battery extends video life to a whole 40 hours, perfect for delaying that break-up-call or ignoring responsibility. Apple is basically saying: why pay a mortgage when you can just pay your phone bill?
