Before the 2026 midterms even hit the ballots, former President Donald Trump wants to rewrite the democracy playbook by banning mail-in ballots and banning those beloved electronic voting machines we all learned to distrust last election. Joining this anti-technology crusade is legal expert Richard Hasen, whose talk of 'free and fair elections' sounds like a polite RSVP to chaos. Because nothing screams fairness like scrapping convenient voting options that people actually use. Trump’s proposed voting rules rewrite has become the political equivalent of taking away everyone’s smartphones and handing out carrier pigeons – right before an important party.
