Mike Johnson Opens Government Except Military Paychecks

On Day 10 of the government shutdown, House Speaker Mike Johnson played a masterclass in political gymnastics by defending his refusal to pass a military pay bill, even as federal workers face layoffs. Johnson claimed that Republicans voted to OPEN the government and pay troops, Border Patrol, TSA, and veterans—but then blamed Democrats, especially Chuck Schumer, for ‘CLOSING’ it because they're too scared of their Marxist left wing to pass a continuing resolution. Meanwhile, the Pentagon casually announced Qatar’s shiny new F-15s were stationed...somewhere (since this blog just up and closed). In short: everyone’s out of session, but the PR circus is still full-throttle.
