In an act that’s part animal kingdom practicality and part culinary horror show, Denmark’s Aalborg Zoo announced it would 'gently euthanize' surplus pets like chickens, rabbits, and guinea pigs before feeding them to captive predators. Because nothing says 'eco-friendly' like turning your leftover pets into lion snacks. The zoo explained these measures are for managing their surplus animals, though you'd have to wonder if the guinea pigs saw it coming or just thought they were auditioning for a new food pyramid.
