Awdah Al Hathaleen, who worked on the Oscar-winning film 'No Other Land' about settler violence, was shot during a clash in his West Bank village. As if celebrating an Oscar wasnāt enough, his community hoped the film might 'help protect them.' So let me get this straight: a documentary was supposed to act like a shield? Thatās like bringing a trophy to a gunfight, hoping applause will stop bullets.
