Elon Muskās Twitter Renamed X: Link Sharing is Back-ish
After Tesla CEO Elon Musk bought Twitter in 2022 and promptly turned it into "X," he slapped links with the digital equivalent of a guilt trip, hoping nobody would click away from his platform (because, time spent = cash, or so he says). Now, entering October 2025, Xās head of product, Nikita Bier, announces a ābig arbitrage opportunityā for journalists to post links that wonāt get buried like forgotten high school yearbooks. The catch? The tech magic is āa little confusingā and nobody but Bier and the algorithm seems to understand it. Meanwhile, desperate users craft link-in-reply hacks, praying this experiment wonāt turn into the next social media ghost town. Theo Elon Musk ironically tweets: 'Best thing is long form on this platform,' translating to 'Stick around, donāt actually send people anywhere!'
