Passwords: The Digital Swiss Cheese of Security

Despite the buzz about "passkeys" being the shiny new hero in security, passwords cling on stubbornly as the "most popular method" to check if it's really you logging in. We're told to have a different one per app or device, which apparently means we need a "password manager" just to keep the chaos barely manageable. Apple’s iCloud Keychain, Google Password Manager, and Microsoft’s Edge browser all play along in this password parade, sharing the noble duty of storing our digital secrets–or at least pretending to. Bottom line: passwords are like bad housemates; annoying but unfortunately essential.
