Boeing 747 Turns Airport Into Water Park, Security Cars Included
On October 20, 2025, at exactly 3:50 a.m., a Boeing 747 cargo plane landed like a confused whale at Hong Kong International Airport by skidding off the North Runway and plunging into the sea, dragging a security patrol car and its two officers for a very unwanted midnight swim. The flight, arriving from Dubai's Al Maktoum International, ditched the runway without a distress signal, took down the fencing, and pushed the patrol car that was 'definitely outside’ the runway fences, smashing a perfect 0-for-1 score on airport obstruction avoidance. Four crew members survived and a fire service army of 213 firefighters with 45 vehicles and ships responded — basically the Avengers but for airport disasters. Tail missing from fuselage pictures surely won’t make airline marketing brochures.
