Maclean Bros Row 9,000 Miles: Because Planes Are Too Mainstream
Photo by Eliott Van Buggenhout on Unsplash
Jamie, Ewan, and Lachlan Maclean decided that taking a casual flight was just too pedestrian, so they rowed over 9,000 miles unsupported from Peru to Cairns, Australia, arriving triumphantly on a Saturday that probably felt longer than the journey itself. No fancy jet fuel or wifi, just pure muscle and probably a playlist of sea shanties. This wasnât a luxury cruise with buffets and poolside drinksâjust three blokes and a boat battling the Pacific in what has now been dubbed the fastest unsupported row. Take that, modern comfort! Their epic wave-hopping adventure makes remote work from home look like a leisurely ear scratch.
